The study has been carried out in two phases.

This paper presents, result of laboratory experiments for the recovery of alum from sludge obtained from tertiary treatment of effluent collected from waste stabilization pond after grab sampling. The study was conducted on wastewater from a stabilization pond having capacity of 54 mld, which was treating municipal wastewater from Ujjain city.

Robust growth rate in the automobile components sector and pressure on component suppliers to demonstrate environmental performance along with quality, cost and delivery make small and medium scale automobile ancillary component suppliers in the need of addressing their environmental issues and and waste minimisation options in their industry.

The removal of chromium (VI) from synthetic wastewater by adsorption on activated carbon prepared from Royal Poinciana shell was tried to determine the effects of different dosages and different pH.

In the present paper an attempt has been made to study the waste management strategies of textile industries in general and bleaching and dying industry in particular and suggest techno-economical line of treatment of the same. The TDS, chlorides and sulphates are the matter of concern in the treated effluent.

The septic tank is commonly accepted as sewage treatment unit in isolated areas even if its performance is not consistent. The methods employed for disposal of such effluent are unsafe and needs careful attention to avoid risk to the public health. Constructed Wetland Treatment Systems (CWTS) have been used extensively now-a-days in some parts of the world for wastewater treatment.

The aim of the present study is to assess the quality of the 64 ground water samples at the top, foot and in the land area which stretches about 4 kms in the south of the Kolli hills. The physico-chemical parameters namely pH, EC, TDS, PA, TA, CH, MH, TH and F were analysed for the groundwater samples.

The objective of the present study is to assess the migrating behaviour of nickel and chromium through the soil collected around an ash-pond site through laboratory studies and an undertaking of contaminant (Nickel and Chromium)- soil interaction phenomena for unraveling the transport mechanism of nickel and chromium through soil and ground water with an attempt to validate 2 D mathematical modeli

The Montreal Protocol with its subsequent amendments and adjustments has been providing a global regulatory framework for the phase out of ozone depleting substances. Till date, CFCs, CTC, HBFCs, methyl chloroform and halons have been already phased out completely by the developed countries and a number of other ODSs are scheduled to follow.

The aim of this work was to evaluate the performance of UASB reactor for treating municipal wastewater.
