A spokesman of the Punjab Health Department said on Friday that 79 new positive cases of dengue virus have been reported, while 27 new patients had been admitted to different teaching hospitals during the last 24 hours. The spokesman said that 103 dengue fever patients were currently under treatment in the hospitals.

As many as 66 animals including four common leopards, two of which cubs, died at the Marghazar Zoo over the past five years.

This was disclosed by Cabinet Division Minister In-Charge Babar Awan in a written reply to a query in the National Assembly on Wednesday.
