These rules may be called the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Social Impact Assessment and Consent) Rules, 2014. They extend to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
