This report is based on the employment and unemployment survey conducted in the 68th round of NSS during July 2011 to June 2012.

The National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) conducts nationwide socio-economic surveys as part of its “rounds”, each round normally of a year’s duration.

The surveys on Land & Livestock Holdings of the National Sample Survey(NSS) are the primary source of data on various types of land, classified by kind and duration of possession by the households, pattem of land use in terms of cropping or iivestock farming etc.

The Situation Assessment Survey of Agricultural Households in NSS 70th Round (January, 2013- December, 2013) was conducted as a repeat survey of Situation Assessment Survey, 2003 (59th round).

This report is based on the employment and unemployment survey conducted in the 68th round of NSS during July 2011 to June 2012.

This 69th round of NSSO survey (July 2012 – December 2012) on drinking water, sanitation, hygiene and housing condition presents a bleak picture of sanitation and hygiene conditions in the rural areas.The last survey on these subjects was undertaken in the 65th round of NSS (July 2008- June 2009).

Household consumption of various goods and services in India 2011-12. The report is based on information collected during 2011-12 from 101651 households in 7469 villages and 5268 urban blocks spread over the entire country.

This report presents the estimates pertaining to various facets of household consumer expenditure at National and State levels.
