New Delhi: The city got its first free charging ports for electric vehicles on Monday. Reva Electric Car Company and BSES tied up to set up three such ports in east Delhi and have promised a total of 200 all across the city by next year. Consumers will have the facility to charge their vehicles for absolutely no cost at these ports till the Commonwealth Games.

The state environment department has issued a set of guidelines for construction activities to combat air pollution. The rules, to be effective from January 1, 2010, will apply to all builders, contractors and infrastructure developers, in private and public sectors. Those violating the norms will be penalised.
