Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has established Ambient Air Quality Network in Maharashtra covering major cities to comply with the mandate of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and to disseminate of air quality prevailing in the state of Maharashtra.
