Hyderabad, Oct. 18: The state government has given administrative sanction for the Rs 2,700-crore 600-MW thermal power project to be developed by Singareni Collieries (SCCL), a state-owned undertaking.

This is the first time that the SCCL is developing its own power plant.

Oct. 13: The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, said the gas expected from the four K-G Basin blocks would be fully utilised for the industrial and domestic needs of the state.

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh achieved a significant breakthrough in its quest to have a pie in the Krishna-Godavari Basin when it successfully won the bid for oil and gas blocks through the eighth round of the New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP) in the auction held in New Delhi on Monday.

Aug. 26: The RIL surprised many by revealing last week that it had the capacity to produce 40 million metric standard cubic meters of gas per day from the Krishna-Godavari basin, but is only producing 37 to 38 mmscd now.
As such, the empowered group of ministers has allocated the 40 mmscd of gas to various sectors.
