THE National Green Tribunal (NGT) on May 24, 2018 directed the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) to visit the spots affected by pollution in rivers Sutlej, Beas and the Budda Nala and submit a report in six weeks.

The complaint stated that there are very serious reports of grave and dangerous levels of poisonous pollution in the rivers, canals and drains has rocked the state of Punjab.
