Three workers at blast furnace II of the plant accidentally inhaled the leaking gas and fell unconscious. Naresh Ekka, Nandlal Chauhan and Santosh Goswami were rushed to Bokaro General Hospital.

CHENNAI: In an effort to monitor the levels of highly-toxic Carbon Monoxide in the ambient air, CO analysers will soon be installed at five locations in the city.

The equipment will be installed in Anna Nagar, T. Nagar, Vallalar Nagar, Adyar and Kilpauk. Equipment of the Chennai Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Programme is already functioning at these five locations.
