It has been observed that the solid waste management rules have not been complied with by the Municipal Corporation Raipur.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of National Green Tribunal Bar Association Vs. Pradeep Kumar Sinha dated 05/01/2018 regarding illegal mining of sand at the bank of river Narangi, Kondagaon, Chhattisgarh. Fact of illegal mining is not disputed. The Court said the equipment used for sand mining in the present case is a JCB which when used h as a capacity to do environmental deg radation to the highest extent.
