Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Aditya Singh Chauhan Vs State of Gujarat dated 06/02/2020 regarding discharge of untreated effluents into Sabarmati river from the CETP, Narol, Ahmedabad. The discharge was adversely affecting the environment and the inhabitants. The CETP is operated by M/s Narol Textile Infrastructure and Enviro Management. Report submitted by the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) acknowledged that the CETP was not meeting the parameters, causing pollution of Sabarmati river.
