The Tribunal said the state can permit mining only after Environment Management Plan has been approved by the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ajay Pandey & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 26/07/2019 regarding illegal sand mining on the Yamuna river bed between Etawah and Jalaun District including Auraiya District, Uttar Pradesh.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rakesh Kumar Vs State of Himachal Pradesh dated 25/07/2019 regarding illegal construction on the Mall Road, Shimla at Bridge View Hotel between the nallah flowing between the hotel and Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Shimla. The report by the Director, Town and Country Planning Department stated that illegal construction could not be demolished as the matter was pending before the Additional District Judge, Shimla.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Naresh Kumar Parmar Vs Union of India & Others dated 25/07/2019 regarding mining in Ambaji, Banas Kantha district, Gujarat. A Committee comprising of State Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Gujarat and the Gujarat Pollution Control Board inspected three mining sites in Ambaji and submitted a report. No mining activity was found due to self-closure by the mining companies due to lack of Environmental Clearance (EC).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shri Shri Thakur Ram Chandra Dev Association Vs South Delhi Municipal Corporation & Others dated 25/07/2019 regarding execution of order dated 01.08.2016 directing South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to clean and de-silt all the drains lying within its territorial area, particularly the drain abutting the Ram Thakur Mandir along the Mehrauli-Badarpur road and complete such work within one month.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Manoj Mishra Vs Union of India & Others dated 25/07/2019. Recharge of groundwater from Palla to Wazirabad in Delhi by creating water bodies and reservoirs in Yamuna flood plain area came up for consideration before the NGT on July 25, 2019. This would help in retaining excess flood water of the river during the monsoon season according to the application filed by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department of Delhi Government.
