The Enquiry Report substantiates environmental degradation both in terms of air and water pollution and therefore the Court directs the power plant to show cause before the next date (31/01/2018) as to why the plant shall not be ordered to be shut down for not having followed the pollution norms.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Samriddhi Goswami Vs. Union of India & Others regarding noise pollution by Delhi Metro dated 12/12/2017. NGT disposes of this application with the direction that DMRC shall maintain and adhere to the prescribed norms of noise pollution while carrying on its activity. The Court also directs the Delhi Pollution Control Committee to keep a complete supervision in that behalf.

Counsel for the Royal Calcutta Turf Club, submits that the club has taken a large number of measures for taking care of the discharge of waste water and for dealing with solid waste. He further submits that they are in the process of preparing a detailed project for it.

Duraisamy Vs Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board & Others dated 07/12/2017 regarding pollution caused by Srivalli Sago Factory, Vazhapadi Taluk, Selam District, Tamil Nadu. The reply filed by the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board states that when the unit was inspected on 12.09.2017, it was found that the unit was not in operation but the unit has established the ETP in the premises. NGT disposes of the Application with the direction that the unit will not operate the unit without the required consent.
