Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Varun Seth & Ors. Vs. Police Commissioner, Delhi & Others dated 09/05/2017 regarding noise level mapping in Delhi. NCT Delhi and Central Pollution Control Board shall submit a Status Report in regard to the Noise Level Mapping of the identified sites, including that Connaught Place, at the time of demonstrations. The said mapping shall be done when demonstration are going on and when the demonstration are not being done in that area.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Govinda Biswas Vs State of West Bengal & Others dated 09/05/2017 regarding discharge of sewage directly into river Rupnarayan by Hotel Sonar Bangla. Also photographs and google images shown by Govinda Biswas indicates that the Hotel is situated right on the bank of river Rupnarayan which is in serious violation of CRZ notification.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Goa Foundation Vs State of Goa & Others dated 08/05/2017 regarding identification of forest area in the State of Goa. State of Goa seeks extension of time for completing the entire exercise of identification of ‘forest like area’ in Goa.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Suo Motu Uttarakhand Human Rights Commission Vs. Chief Secretary, Govt. of Uttarakhand & Ors. dated 08/05/2017 regarding disposal of sewage in river Kausi and Ganga, Uttarakhand. NGT finds that the DPR (Detailed Project Report) for setting up STP and other related issues was approved by the Uttarakhand Government without any physical verification.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata( in the matter of Tapan Das Vs Director, Directorate of Mines Minerals & Others dated 08/05/2017 regarding e-auction taking place in the district of Paschim Medinipur and Jhargram district in West Bengal. It is alleged that proper procedures are not being followed in accordance with West Bengal Minor Minerals (Concession) Rules, 2016 in respect of e-auction of sand mining at Kanshabati and Subarnarekha rivers. 

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. NCT, Delhi & Others dated 08/05/2017 regarding leak of chemical gas from the tanker at Tughlakabad, Delhi, in which nearly 480 school going children had to be hospitalized.

NGT rules that the chemical tanker violated the directions of the Court which had directed that the non-destined vehicles would not have entered Delhi including Containers.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Confederation of Delhi Industries & CETP Societies (An Organisation of CETP Societies) Vs. D.P.C.C. & Others dated 05/05/2017 regarding industries in Uttar Pradesh for polluting Ganga.

Counsel appearing for Delhi Development Authority submits that the demarcation of the flood plain on river Yamuna in the stretch of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh has been completed and he will file the report soon.
