Union of India & Others dated 08/09/2016 regarding disposal of untreated sewage directly into river Yamuna by builders and colonisers, Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The Local Commissioner has pointed out that nearly 100 MLD untreated sewage is being directly pumped in to the river. The Counsel appearing for Nagar Nigam as well as Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam shall file clear affidavit as to how 100 MLD of sewage is directly being pumped into the river which is untreated and the remedial measures that can be taken in that behalf.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of D.K. Joshi Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 09/08/2016 regarding real estates projects on Yamuna flood plain, Uttar Pradesh. This case is being heard on day to day basis on persistent request of the Project Proponents that they are suffering losses because of the interim orders passed by the Tribunal.

It has been brought before thhe Tribunal that various builders/developers have violated, breached and/or trespassed on the flood plain by raising constructions. The Tribunal has asked the 19 builders/developers mentioned in the tabulated statement (based upon the flood plain map filed by the U.P. Irrigation Department) to file their responses within one week.

The case in relation to cleaning of Municipal Solid Waste dumping on the river bank of East Gate Nallah of Taj, be listed on 19th November, 2015. The Counsel appearing for the respective Authorities assured NGT that within two days it will be cleaned.
