Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Irfan Ahmad & Ors. Vs. Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora & Ors dated 28/01/2016 regarding establishment of waste to energy plant for municipal solid waste for the city of Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.

The Applicant (Dr. Irfan Ahmad) has brought to our notice that the municipal solid waste is scattered all over the city till today. There is no proper mechanism in place for collection, segregation, transportation and dumping of the waste.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Irfan Ahmad & Ors. Vs. Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora & Ors. dated 03/03/2014 regarding feasibility and environmental impacts for establishing a MSW plant, Jammu & Kashmir.

The NGT directed the Member Secretary of the CPCB to visit the site in question and submit a report on the feasibility, environmental impacts and whether it would be technically environment prudent to establish the MSW plant at the site in question.
