The UT Administration has adopted the theme, 'generating electricity from solar power', under the Solar City initiative, for which a proposal has been made before the Union government for its approval.

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under the Union Ministry of Power, is conducting an energy audit in large municipalities of Uttar Pradesh.

LUCKNOW: Around 7,400 electricity consumers in Lucknow got registered under the Self Load Declaration Scheme, which was initiated by UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). Total load which was enhanced in the process stood at 13,067 Kw.

NEW DELHI: Even as the Capital awaits the announcement of new power tariffs, the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission has announced solar tariff regulations.

The DERC adopted the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission's terms and conditions for the tariff related to solar power.

According to the DERC, the order is in line with the Jawaharlal Nehru Solar Power Mission guidelines.
