The Rajasthan Government is unlikely to act on the suggestion of Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora on altering its sales tax structure on petrol and diesel to make them cheaper in the State.

In a calibrated and coordinated move, the entire Opposition, including the ideologically opposed BJP and the Left and the Samajwadi Party which is supporting the UPA Government from outside, on Tuesday called for a dawn-to-dusk Bharat bandh on July 5 protesting the hike in fuel prices and demanding a rollback.
