S Mohan, professor of Agri Entomology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), has invented a device that can trap insects in warehouses.

The TNAU has filed an application to get the device patented under the Patent Rights in India.

Information was documented by using participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques.

Alipurduar, Jan. 12: More than 23,000 quintals of potato had to be buried after a cold storage owner failed to sell them on the intruction of the State Bank of India (SBI) as part of its loan recovery drive.

This paper examines the composition of traditional food crops among the different tribal communities and the method of sustainable food crop production. Three tribal communities, inhabiting seven villages in Orissa, India were studied. A structured questionnaire was administered to elicit information in the areas of crop mixtures and reasons for such mixtures.
