 Bhopal: The implementation of the Scheduled Tribes and other
Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act in Madhya
Pradesh faces a host of problems due to a strange interpretation of the Act by
the Forest Department.

New Delhi: Going purely on the assurances of Andhra Pradesh government, the Union environment and forests ministry has cleared the longpending case of diverting 3,831 hectares of forest land for Rs 8,000-crore Polavaram project on Godavari river in AP meant to provide irrigation water to four districts.
