An Act for the law relating to consolidation, management, sustainable use and conservation of forests in Arunachal Pradesh. This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh Forest Act, 2014.

In this study, sampled equal proportions of Revenue Forest and Reserve Forest, for assessment of the status of forest biodiversity and disturbance regimes.

The objective of the study was to understand both the ground level situation of CFR implementation and major policy level developments that may be obstructing or strengthening the provision of CFRs, and to provide an assessment based on the collected information about the same.

The history of communal forest management in south India shows its exclusive nature. The resistance to colonial forest policies forced the administration in the Madras Presidency to look for options to pacify public discontent. At the level of policy, it was the dominant agrarian communities that evolved an effective link with political parties and the native press, compelling the revenue department and the colonial state to recognise their claims.
