It has come to the notice of the Supreme Court that the meetings being held by the Ministry of Defence on the issue of cantonment land in Panchmarhi are not being attended by the State of Madhya Pradesh. Supreme Court directs that the he Chief Secretary of the State of Madhya Pradesh to ensure that the State is represented in these meetings.

Judgement of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh dated 08/11/2017 in the matter of State of Telangana Vs Md. Hayath Uddin & Others regarding Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. The case was filed by the State of Telangana questioning the order of the NGT dated 05/10/2017 which stopped all construction activities for the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Apex Court wants to whether the Draft Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2016 which were said to have been circulated some time in March, 2016 have been finalized or not and, if not, reasons for the delay. Supreme Court also asks the Union of India to specify the steps taken to preserve the 26 wetlands covered by the Ramsar Convention, 1971.
