KOCHI: All kinds of plants have the capacity to refresh the air in the interior of the house if placed in the proper positions and are provided proper care. In addition to giving out oxygen and humidity, the plants can absorb the polluting chemicals from the atmosphere. This study has used proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry (PTR-MS) for direct air analyses of volatile products resulting from the reactions of ozone with human skin lipids.
