As many as 10 people have died following floods in the Godavari in the past three days even as water level in the river continued to rise alarmingly, severely affecting normal life in nine districts, particularly Khammam and East Godavari districts, officials said on Sunday.

Khammam, July 21: The district medical and health department has prepared an action plan to curb seasonal diseases.
It is a precautionary measure to control diseases. As the monsoon advances in the district, rainfall is being recorded every day. There are chances of the spread of diseases like malaria, dengue and, swine flu. To curb the spread of the disesses an action plan has been prepared.

Allegations of illegal mining are once again rocking Andhra Pradesh. This time it is related to mining of barytes and iron ore in Khammam district. At the centre of the controversy is Brother Anil Kumar, evangelist son-in-law of late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
