NGT directs MoEF and CPCB to conduct a joint inspection of the thermal power plant at Panki, Kanpur and submit a detailed report to the Tribunal.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Dwaipayan Sengupta Vs Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change & Others dated 10/07/2017 regarding encroachment and filling up of a waterbody commonly known as Nayanjuli which extends from Ultadanga to Lake Town crossing on the southern side of VIP Road covering four wards under the South Dum Dum Municipality viz. Ward Nos. 29,30,34 and 35.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Madhumangal Shukla Vs Ministry Of Environment And Forests (MOEF) & Others dated 03/07/2017 regarding improper and unregulated disposal of municipal solid waste in the city of Vrindavan, especially in front of the Tatiasthan, near river Yamuna and other places like Kalidaha, Shringarvat, Ranapat Ghat etc. It was also submitted by the Applicant - Madhumangal Shukla that Vrindavan is a temple town in Mathura district and is situated on the west bank of river Yamuna.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Birendra Singh Matura & Ors. Vs. Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change & Ors dated 19/06/2017 regarding widening of NH-34 which is in violation of the Bhagirathi Eco Sensitive Zone Notification.

The Order notes that all the Parties are at consensus that 94 kms of stretch of NH-34 from Dharasu to Gangotri Forest falls within EcoSensitive Zone and any developmental activity in ESZ needs to conform with Zonal Master Plan.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Jai Prakash Vs. Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Lt. Gen. Satyevir Yadav Vs Ministry of Environment and Forest & Others dated 30/05/2017 regarding mining of quartz in village Mukandpura, sub-division Narnaul, Mahendargarh District, Haryana. The Applicant also said that the mines are operating illegally for thirteen years without the requisite consent to establish under Section 25 and 26 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Section 21 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
