It is stated that an advertisement dated February 8, 2021 was issued for grant of mining leases without replenishment and carrying capacity studies.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sandeep Mittal Vs Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change & Others dated 29/04/2019 regarding the effectiveness of monitoring mechanism for compliance of Environmental Clearance (EC) conditions as per Notification dated 14/09/2006 under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.

Order of the National Green Tribunal Sandeep Mittal Vs. Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change & Others dated 30/10/2018. Grievance in this application is against grant of Environment Clearance by the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Haryana on 12.12.2013 to construct a project in villages – Dhumaspur and Maidawas, District Gurgaon, Haryana on a plot area of 151804.3 square meters. Objection of the applicant is that the construction is on a fertile cultivable land. The project will also result in depletion of ground water level.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Atul Singh Chauhan Vs. Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change & Others dated 20/09/2018 regarding sand mining in the river bed of Yamuna in Allahabad District without Environmental Clearance and in violation of the conditions of mining leases. Grievance of the applicant is that mining is being permitted contrary to the prohibitory norms in respect of in-stream mining and mining upto the depth of 4 to 6 meters by using pokland machines.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mustafa Hussain Vs. Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change & Others dated 21/12/2017 regarding illegal mining with the help of heavy machines in Village Patti Kalan, District Rampur, Uttar Pradesh.
