NEW DELHI: The Central Empowered Committee appointed by the Supreme Court has recommended that the Uttar Pradesh Government be told to stop all construction work for the upcoming Noida park project till environmental clearance is obtained from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests.

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh government has protested against the alleged move of the UnionGovernment and the Ministry of Environment and Forests to influence the Central Empowered Committee on the issue of development of a park in memory of Bahujan Samaj Party founder Kanshi Ram, in Sector 14 and 16 A of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The committee has been constituted by the Supreme Court.

THE Uttar Pradesh Government has taken strong objection to the second letter sent by the Government of India to the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) over the NOIDA Park, on September 2, calling it "unnecessary" and "ambiguous".
