By 2030, 69 million children under the age of five will have died, 167 million children will be living in poverty and 750 million women will have been married as children, unless the issues facing the most disadvantaged children are tackled says this annual UNICEF report.

Conflict and persecution caused global forced displacement to escalate sharply in 2015, reaching the highest level ever recorded and representing immense human suffering, according to a report released today by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

With a multitude of conflicts and crises causing record displacement around the world, resettlement has become an increasingly vital part of UNHCR’s efforts to find solutions and advocate for fairer responsibility-sharing for refugees, a UNHCR report released at an annual meeting in Geneva says.
