Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 10/08/2020. The matter related to steps taken by the state of Punjab to control air pollution.

An affidavit was filed in the SC on behalf of state of Punjab and with respect to it the court asked for clarification and submission of a report.

Inspection report of Trident Complex of M/s Trident Limited, Mansa Road, Village-Dhaula, District Barnala, Punjab. This was in pursuance to the NGT order of December 4, 2019 in the matter of O.A. No. 689 of 2019 in the matter of Beant Singh Bajwa Vs State of Punjab & Others. The NGT had called for a fresh, independent and comprehensive inspection report from the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) to ascertain the factual situation especially on extraction of groundwater by the unit.

4th report of the Monitoring Committee headed by Justice Jasbir Singh, constituted by the National Green Tribunal in OA No. 916 of 2018 in the matter of Sobha Singh & Others Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 05/06/2020.

Report of Punjab Pollution Control Board in compliance of National Green Tribunal order of January 27, 2020. Darshan Singh, retired engineer of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited had filed an application before the NGT and said that he has prepared a project report to convert coal fired thermal plant at Bathinda to paddy straw fired power plant - which would result in reduction of pollution, taking place on account of burning of paddy straw.
