The wind turbine industry in Denmark is the largest in the world. The success has been primarily due to a close collaboration between the government and the industry to finance key areas such as research and development, certification, testing and the preparation of standards.

KOLKATA, Jan. 19: The state is set to get the country's largest solar power generation plant by the end of March this year, said state power minister, Mr Mrinal Banerjee speaking this morning at the inaugural ceremony of the 18th International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference and Exhibition (PVSEC) at Science City.

Chandigarh: A 2-MW biomass waste-based co-generation power plant has been commissioned at Yamunanagar at a cost of Rs 15.23 crore at Bharat Starch Industries, said Sumita Misra, Director, Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA). The plywood waste, available in huge quantity in Yamunanagar, will be used in the project, she added.
