The rivers in question are tributary of river Ghaghara which in turn is a tributary of river Ganga.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Balotra Textile Hand Processors Association Vs Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board & Others dated 06/03/2019 regarding functioning of ETPs, CETPs, HRTs and other facilities at Bituja, Balotra and Jasol. Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ashish Rohidas Shinde & Others Vs Lonavala Municipal Council & Others dated 27/02/2019 regarding construction within the impermissible area of the bank of river Indrayani, Lonavla, Maharashtra. Also disposal of the soil on banks of the river.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sunil Kemble Vs Union of India & Others dated 26/02/2019 regarding the status of nallahs in Kolhapur. NGT in its previous order had asked the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation to strictly adhere to the timeline for treating sewage and submit bi-monthly report as well as a status report.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Residents of Gram Panchayat Varahiya Vs State of Rajasthan dated 21/02/2019 regarding illegal marble mining at Saren Phala and Nichla Phala at Udaipur, Rajasthan. A report was sought from the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) and the District Magistrate, Udaipur, Rajasthan. The report shows mining waste was dumped near the bank of Som river by M/s Vineet Udhyog Limited, M/s Evergreen Marble & Granites and Sanjeev Modi.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sajjan Sodani Vs State of Rajasthan & Others dated 21/02/2019 regarding encroachments on Kothari river near Bhilwara, Rajasthan and dumping of domestic, industrial and other waste, including bio-medical waste allegedly dumped by Keshav Hospital, Bhilwara. NGT had directed the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) and the District Magistrate, Bhilwara to look into the matter and furnish a report.
