JAIPUR: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen LPG Vitarak Yojana as a national scheme for providing liquefied petroleum gas to the rural households at Lachhmangarh in Sikar district of Rajasthan on Sunday. PALAKKAD: Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has said that all the 1.15 lakh villages in the country will be provided electricity by 2012.
Declaring Palakkad as the first total electrified district in the country at a function in Ottappalam near here on Tuesday, the Minister said that 68,000 villages had been electrified so far.
