Even as blood is being spilled over water here, parched Madhya Pradesh seeks divine help for rainfall with people trying every trick in their book to please the rain gods.

The second instalment to the tune of Rs 50 lakh has been released to parched Indore. On April 8 last, the first instalment of Rs 50 lakh was released. In this way, Rs 1 crore has been made available to Indore collector for ensuring drinking water arrangements in the district during the summer.

Rs 79 lakh to 12 civic bodies

Bhopal, Jan 21: The State Government has accorded sanction of Rs 1.5 crore to solve drinking water problem prevailing in districts of Rajgarh, Shajapur and Khandwa districts. Out of the sanctioned amount, a sum of Rs 49.50 lakh has been released to these three districts as initial instalment.
