Srinagar: A magnitude 5.7 earthquake shook Srinagar and triggered panic across the city on Monday.

State disaster management cell project manager Aamir Ali said tremors lasted for a few seconds and caused no loss to life or property anywhere in the Valley, where earthquake prone districts of Srinagar, Kupwara and Baramulla fall under seismic zone V.
