Judgement of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Vohra Sadikbhai Rajakbhai & Others Vs State of Gujarat & Others dated 10/05/2016 regarding destruction of plantations of the farmers by the release of 60,000 cusecs of water from Mazum dam that has been built over river Mazum in June 1997. The Apex Court awarded damages to the tune of ₹5,00,000 to the farmers. The appellants farmers shall also be entitled to interest from the date of judgment of the trial court, i.e. December 24, 2010 at the rate of 9% per annum and also the cost of the present appeal.
