Action taken report filed by the Haryana State Pollution Control Board in compliance to the National Green Tribunal order, May 31, 2022 in the matter of Dheeraj Singh Vs State of Haryana.

A complaint was filed before the NGT which said that during the construction of flyover going on near 20th Mile Stone, tehsil Rai, district Sonipat, the contractor during a period of three months had laid fly ash on the site for filling. This was polluting the nearby areas.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Jahangir Vs State of Haryana dated 08/05/2023. Grievance in the application is against unscientific and illegal mining by M/s Star Mines, Saharanpur, obstructing the flow of Yamuna river. It was stated that fifteen Pokland machines are working day and night causing damage to the environment, including air pollution. Though lease was for mining of the
area in Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh, the lessee has been undertaking illegal mining in village Belgarh in Haryana also.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushil Kumar Vs State of Haryana dated 27/04/2023. Grievance in the application is against failure of the Municipal Council, Fatehabad, Haryana and other concerned authorities to manage solid waste dump site behind DAV School on Bighar Road, district Fatehabad, Haryana. It is stated that such failure is resulting in damage to the environment and public health. Waste includes garbage generated in meat markets.

The matter related to illegal mining in the name of Yodha Mines and Minerals in the river bed of Yamuna. Further, the miner diverted course of the river by constructing illegal bridge on river Yamuna.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Hariom Singh Rana Vs State of Haryana dated 16/03/2023.

Grievance in the application is against illegal trade of polythene which is banned. Plastic waste which also includes hospital waste is brought to land at village Bajghera, Tehsil and District Gurugram which belongs to Municipal Corporation, Gurugram and is burnt, resulting in damage to environment.

The matter related to compliance of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 in the state of Haryana.

The court noted that the matter was dealt by the NGT in the last five years by several orders, last order being May 9, 2022 on consideration of status report filed by the Chief Secretary, Haryana dated April 29, 2022.

The NGT received a letter petition dated June 6, 2022 from residents of village Darbaripur and Hasanpur, Gurugram, Haryana regarding industrial pollution at Darbaripur, Hasanpur road, Khekri Daula Road, Sector-75, Gurugram. Industrial establishments like Suzuki Company, Mahindra and Mahindra and Sudhar Metals and Alloy are located there. The residents have complained that the industries are not complying with environmental norms.
