The application has been filed by Mahant of Dhwajband Mandir, Avinshidham and other pujaries residing at village Sawanpura Toran, Sikar, Rajashtan against illegal mining activities near age old temple and water body. The excavation of minerals was being done without having due clearances and other relevant consents as per laws.

Factual action taken report by the state of Rajasthan in the matter of Pritam Joshi Vs State of Rajasthan & Others. The report was in compliance with the NGT order of February 6, 2020 and July 13, 2020.

The report deals with Soorsagar lake water body in the Jodhpur city with respect to its mapping survey and boundary determination. The geographical area around Soorsagar lake had been notified as protected under Section 4 of the Rajasthan Lake (Protection and Development) Authority Act, 2015.

By filing the present application the applicant had raised the issue of encroachment of Khasra No. 41/2 which is said to be a road and the villagers were using it for travelling and the mining department illegally encroached both sides of the said road for mining and marked the area as mining area.
