EPCA report submitted before the Supreme Court states that the state governments of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan have no objection if a ban is placed on the use of Furnace Oil and Pet Coke like in Delhi. It is also pointed out SO2, Nox and Sox standards have not been fixed for almost 35 industries.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of People's Rights & Social Research Centre & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 01/05/2017 regarding migrant workers from tribal districts of Madhya Pradesh who contracted silicosis due to working in the unregulated quartz crushing factories of Godhra and Balasinor, Gujarat. Pollution Control Board has assured Supreme Court that inspections of factories will be carried out as desired by Prashant Bhushan, counsel appearing for Silicosis Peedit Sangh.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shikhar Stone Crusher Vs. Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 13/04/2017 regarding illegal running of stone crushers in Uttar Pradesh.

Applications disposed of. Counsel appearing for the stone crushers have submitted before the Court that they have not applied to the State Pollution Control Board either for joint inspection or for consent to operate, after 02nd December, 2016. Therefore the question of submission of report by the Board does not arise. Parties are at liberty to proceed in accordance with law.
