FARMERS in Thoothukudi are a worried lot as the government has denied water supply for 24,211 acres in the district, affecting crops in many areas which were raised in anticipation of the water supply.

The present study deals with statistical analysis of physico-chemical parameters of ground water quality in Nambiyar river basin. The quality of ground water has been assessed by using correlation coefficient (r) between all parameters.
