Pune The Pune Municipal Corporation has come out with suggestions to push forward the state government bid to amend the Maharashtra (Urban Areas) Protection and Preservation of Trees Act, 1975. The amendment is to formulate a statewide policy on maintaining heritage trees and wildlife.

Mumbai Monsoon storms, besides bringing rain to the city, are often accompanied by winds strong enough to uproot trees.
