Response affidavit on behalf of the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board in the matter of Rajendra Gangsari Vs State of Uttarakhand & Others dated 21/04/2023.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) vide order dated August 2, 2022 directed a joint committee to submit a factual and action taken report within two months.

The matter related to absence of RDF disposal by scientific method as well as not managing the disposal of leachate properly at the solid waste management processing plant at Sheeshambada, Vikas Nagar, Dehradun.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of In re : news item published in the Newspaper The Hindu dated 02.10.2022 titled “Over 6,000 trees illegally cut for tiger safari project in Corbett Reserve, says FSI report” dated 17/04/2023.

Report by way of affidavit on behalf of district magistrate, Nainital, Uttarakhand in compliance of directions passed by the National Green Tribunal vide its order dated February 24, 2023. In compliance with the directions passed by the NGT, February 24, 2023 the District Magistrate, Nainital issued directions to the concerned officials to channelize the river in upside of Nandhaur to avoid the flood situation in Chorgalia region of district Nainital.

It is said that sewer chambers are located at Triveni Ghat of river Ganga at Rishikesh which sometimes due to overflow results in spreading pollutants across the area polluting Ganga. Such pollutants also cause foul smell and create unhygienic conditions thereby causing health hazards to local people.
