Ahmedabad: The new campus of IITGandhinagar (IIT-G) is going to have a green footprint. Authorities of the institute have decided to make the building design different than the conventional style of the other, older IITs. IIT-Gandhinagar is among the new IITs set up in 2008-09.

The use of reclaimed water in agriculture is an option that is increasingly being investigated and taken up in regions with water scarcity, growing urban populations and growing demand for irrigation water.

Water use in buildings, accounts for a high percentage of overall water use in cities. With development and growth there has been an increasing demand for water in India.
