Chennai: Electricity generation from wind mills installed in Tamil Nadu fell sharply to 16.71 million units on Saturday, compared with 34.72 million units the previous day. On Thursday, the windmills in the State generated a record 41.16 million units

California utility Pacific Gas and Electric Co on Wednesday announced an expanded agreement with solar thermal power company BrightSource Energy Inc for more than 1.3 gigawatts (GW) of clean, solar energy.
