Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Subhas Dutta Vs. Union of India & Ors dated 28/08/2014 regarding idol immersion. The Tribunal has noted that the affidavit filed on behalf of the Central Pollution Control Board has stated that the guidelines in relation to Idol immersion in the various parts of the country have been finalised and guidelines earlier prepared for Idol immersion in 2010 will be amended and issued to all the State Boards and the State Governments. Even the suggestions made by the Applicant will be considered and incorporated, if necessary.
