Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nida Doon Vs. State of Haryana & Others dated 06/09/2016 regarding felling of 158 trees from Sectors 17 and 18 of the divided road of Gurgaon, Haryana.

National Green Tribunal directs that felling/cutting of the trees shall be preceded by the conditions that they should plant 5000 trees in that very area or the areas near thereto.

Local Commissioner submitted before the Tribunal that there is massive illegal and unauthorized removal of minor minerals going on in the area.

According to the Applicant there are nearly 7,53,647 hectares of wet land as per National Wetland Atlas and out of it 5,54,960 hectares of land are under less than 2.5 hectares, while the remaining 1,98,687 hectares of land are more than 2.5 hectares. According to him these wetlands are located in the protected areas as well as outside the protected area.

National Green Tribunal directs authorities to "take clear instructions as to the availability of the sites, operationalisation of the waste to energy plant, capacity of each of them and what steps they are going to take to ensure their continuous operalisation without any further delay".

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of K.N. Somashekar Vs. State of Karnataka & Others dated 29/08/2016 regarding Yettinahole water diversion project, Karnataka.

NGT restrains State Government of Karnataka and the Project Proponent from felling, cutting any trees without obtaining permission from the competent Authority under the Karnataka Trees Act and if they are given permission they shall simultaneously carry on afforestation atleast 10 times of the trees felled.
