Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ajay Kumar Negi & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 04/04/2016 regarding Tidong-I Hydro Electric Project in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh.

The Tribunal permits the Project Proponent (M/s Nuziveedu Seeds Ltd) to carry out the construction work of the project on certains conditions which includes:

i) Shall not fell trees in any manner whatsoever.

ii) Shall not allow disruption of natural drainage of river Tidong.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Laxmi Suiting & Others Vs. State of Rajasthan & Others dated 01/04/2016 regarding unlawful extraction of groundwater by industries in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

A Team of CGWA (Central Ground Water Authority) shall visit Jodhpur and submit a comprehensive report as to which area, if any, where extraction of water would be necessary for maintaining hygiene and environment as well as the life of the people in Jodhpur and which parts of Jodhpur are critical or no extraction of ground water should be permitted.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushil Kumar Vs. Union of India & Others regarding municipal solid waste disposal in the grain market of Kaithal, Haryana, 30/03/2016.

The Haryana State Pollution Control Board shall conduct inspection and issue appropriate guidelines for prevention and control of Air Pollution as well, and in relation to disposal of Municipal Solid Waste in accordance with law.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Irfan Ahmad & Ors. Vs. Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora & Ors. dated 29/03/2016 regarding municipal solid waste, bio-medical solid waste and even dead animals being thrown near water bodies/ lakes, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Aditya N. Prasad & Ors. Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 23/03/2016 regarding electrical wires on trees put up by power distribution companies.

The Tribunal in its Order stated that "in the event of default of direction and the work of trees being made free of electrical wiring in any form whatsoever, the Managing Director of the Company would be liable to be proceeded against in accordance with law personally."

NGT on March 22, 2016 appointed Rahul Khurana, Advocate present before the Tribunal as Local Commissioner and asked him to submit a comprehensive report in relation to collection, dumping, transportation and burning etc. of the municipal solid waste in Vrindavan city . 

The National Green Tribunal on March 23, 2016 asked Maharashtra and Karnataka to issue notice to all miners of the States carrying on mining activity on the river creating deep pits that is impermissible under the law in force.
