Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Krishan Kant Singh V/s. Upper India Tannery dated 08/03/2016 regarding pollution caused by Upper India Tannery, Jajmau, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The industry would be permitted to operate for a period of two weeks w.e.f. 11th March, 2016 and Director, IIT, Kanpur shall nominate a appropriate Professor/Associate Professor to be the part of the inspection team.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mantri Shyam Prasad Vs. NHAI & Ors. dated 02/03/2016. The grievance of the Applicant is that the trees are being uprooted and the greenery of the green belt is being destroyed. Counsel appearing for the NHAI submits that it is not their construction but it is being handled by the Greater Vishakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.

NGT directs the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation to ensure that the trees are not uprooted and the green area is not destroyed in any manner whatsoever.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Krishan Kant Singh Vs. M/s United Spirits Limited Rosa Shahjahnpur dated 02/03/2016 regarding pollution caused by United Spirits Limited, Rosa Shahjahnpur, Uttar Pradesh.

The joint inspection team report submitted before the Tribunal states that the Unit appears to have taken all anti pollution measures. However, there is one of the minor deficiencies which remains to be addressed, counsel appearing for the industry submit that they would take all measures completely and immediately and would obtain permission of the CGWA.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mushtakeem Vs. MoEF & CC & Others dated 02/03/2016 regarding mining in the state of Haryana. Counsel appearing for the various parties have pointed out the various deficiencies as well as defective policy decisions in relation to mining by different methods. It is also contended that the State Mining Policies more often than not are frustrated by imposition of conditions in the Environmental Clearance granted by MoEF.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of ALPS Industries Ltd. Vs. U.E.P.P.C.B. & Ors. dated 01/03/2016 regarding pollution caused by the textile industry ( Alps Industries Ltd.) Uttarakhand.

NGT orders for a joint inspection of the industry to be conducted by the CPCB, State Pollution Control Board, IIT Roorkee and the Inspection, preferably should be in the first instance of the spinning units.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of MukeshYadav Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 29/02/2016 regarding illegal digging of the land area up to 40 feet deep for the purpose of construction near village Bishrakh, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Preservation of Kasauli and its Environs (SPOKE) Vs. Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation & Others dated 29/02/2016 regarding construction activity that is being carried on in Kasauli and the surrounding areas without compliance of law.

NGT directs both the counsel to submit the list of the properties which are being constructed illegally, unauthorisedly in Kasauli whether in cantonment area, non- cantonment area or even in the near-by areas to Kasauli to which the Development Plan applies.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s Needle Eye Plastic Industries Pvt. Ltd. Vs. Uttarakhand Environment Protection Pollution Control Board dated 29/02/2016 regarding pollution caused by the industry and operating without consent.

NGT imposes a sum of Rs. 10 lacs as the Environmental Compensation in terms of the Section 15 and 17 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 on the polluting industry.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Anil Kumar Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 29/02/2016 regarding brick kilns operating in the State of Haryana without consent of the state pollution control board.

NGT asks the State of Haryana as well as the Haryana Pollution Control Board to file a report with regard to thhe ambient air quality as well as stack sampling in those areas. They will also submit as to what is the source of fuel used in these brick kilns.
