Government of Madhya Pradesh established three National and State level (each) awards for encouraging and giving the best contribution in the development works of science, engineering, technology and social science sectors. The award was established by the name of Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru on National Level and winner is given cash award of Rs 1 lakh and citation for every sector each.
