New Delhi: In a bid to get rid of manual scavenging on railway tracks, bio-toilets have been installed in 50 coaches of various trains, the Railways informed the Delhi High Court on Wednesday.

"Fifty coaches of different trains have been fitted with bio-toilets which, unlike traditional toilets in trains, retain the human waste in the tank which is treated by bacteria," V K Gupta, Secretary
