It will be implemented in 32 areas recently included in Chennai Corporation

The State government on Monday unveiled a Rs.2,000-crore project for improving water supply and sewerage facilities in the 32 areas newly included in the Chennai Corporation. Replying to a debate on the demands for grants for his department, Rural Development Minister K.P. Munusamy said that the drinking water scheme would be implemented at a cost of Rs.700 crore. Sewerage facilities would be provided on a war-footing at a cost of Rs.1,300 crore.
